Then a position as a Facade/Roof Engineering Inspector at IBS Consultants is an excellent step in your career. In this role, you will have the opportunity to independently and collaboratively with colleagues perform challenging measurements, inspections, and checks on facades and roofs. This work takes place in our test hall, on construction sites, and at manufacturing facilities throughout the Netherlands. You will contribute to leading-edge projects and play a key role in the preparation, execution, and reporting of technical investigations.
As an IBS representative on-site, you will maintain direct contact with clients. You will be able to clearly explain the rationale, methodology, and results of inspections and measurements and support clients in making technical decisions.
Your duties
As a Building Inspector, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting air and water tightness measurements at the facade and building levels (including
Qv;10 measurements) - Testing the air permeability and water tightness of facade systems
- Inspecting facades and roofs for quality, performance, and workmanship
- Preparing and setting up test rigs
- Drafting clear and professional reports
- Advising clients on-site
- Collaborating with fellow consultants and project teams
- The measurements and inspections pertain to facades made of materials such as aluminum, steel, plastic/composite, concrete, and wood.

What We’re Looking For
- At least a completed MBO+ degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or
a comparable field - Experience in (facade) construction or with a contractor is a strong plus
- A practical mindset and technical insight
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- An independent and solution-oriented work ethic
- Class B driver’s license (required)
- Willingness to work at various project sites throughout the Netherlands
